Your faculty.
Harvard-certified.
Harvard University certificate programs for teachers and academic leaders — designed for the way Indian university classrooms actually work, and delivered through Edorer.
“The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 underscores the need for motivated, energized, and capable faculty in higher education. The capacity building for teachers at all levels is a key focus.”
Three forces are reshaping the Indian classroom.
The programs are designed for the academic moment Indian universities are living through — not the one in the textbook.
Inclusion stops being a slogan.
Multilingualism, multiple modes of assessment, and faculty PD are now mandates. These programs give your faculty a working design language for all of them.
You don’t teach an average student.
First-gen learners, three regional languages, lateral entries, and undiagnosed differences sit in one room. Built for that room, not the textbook one.
Assessment is the new teaching.
When students can generate any answer, the question becomes the lesson. These courses point to pedagogy and assessment that AI can’t shortcut.
Two programs. One for teachers. One for leaders.
A focused pair from Harvard University — one to change how your faculty design teaching, one to change how your senior leaders make decisions about who succeeds on campus.
Universal Design for Learning Practitioner Certificate (UDL)
A three-week online program that builds deep, working understanding of Universal Design for Learning — the research-backed framework for designing teaching that works for every learner in a diverse university classroom. Faculty leave with the confidence to design learning experiences that increase access for first-generation students, multilingual cohorts, and learners with different abilities.
Master the three UDL principles
Multiple means of engagement, representation, and action & expression — and the guidelines beneath each.
Redesign a unit or assessment
From a course you currently teach, applying UDL principles directly to your own syllabus.
Design for the real classroom
Not the imagined average student — with strategies that meet learner variability in Indian higher education.
Join a community of practice
Peers across institutions, with asynchronous discussion and job-embedded application throughout.
Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership (CAEL)
A twelve-week leadership module from Harvard University’s Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership (CAEL). For deans, directors, and senior administrators ready to examine the policies, practices, and personal mindsets that shape who succeeds on their campus — and to lead the change. Pairs structured self-examination with a personal leadership project addressing a real equity challenge from your own institution.
Self-examination
Of leadership mindsets, beliefs, and blind spots about equity in higher education — including caste, gender, language, region, and ability.
Audit institutional practice
Identify policies and decisions that perpetuate inequity for first-gen, non-English-medium, women, and differently-abled students.
Build faculty & HoD capacity
To recognise potential in every learner and design systems that promote their success at high levels.
Capstone leadership project
Tackle a system-wide problem of practice on your campus, through the full cycle of learn · apply · perform · demonstrate.

Everything you need to know.
Short answers to the questions that come up most often when institutions evaluate the programs.
Will I receive an official Harvard certificate?
Yes. On successful completion you receive a certificate issued by Harvard University — the Universal Design for Learning Practitioner Certificate (UDL) for teachers, or the Certificate in Advanced Education Leadership (CAEL) for university leaders. Both are recognised globally and suitable for AICTE / UGC FDP records and academic CV.
How are the programs delivered?
Both programs are 100% online and asynchronous — you fit them around your teaching and administrative responsibilities. The UDL program is self-paced over three weeks; the CAEL module runs twelve weeks through a structured cycle of learning, application, performance, and demonstration. Edorer adds an India cohort wrap — a kick-off session, weekly office hours, a peer community, and a capstone share-out.
What does the fee include?
The fee covers tuition, all course materials, the Harvard certificate on completion, and the Edorer India cohort facilitation. We invoice in INR — no forex hassle. Group discounts apply when you sponsor seats for multiple participants from the same institution.
Are there prerequisites?
No prerequisites for the UDL Practitioner Certificate — it’s designed as an entry point to Universal Design for Learning. The CAEL module is intended for current or aspiring senior academic leaders (deans, directors, HoDs, VCs, registrars, IQAC heads) but does not require prior Harvard study.
Can my institution sponsor multiple seats?
Yes — and most do. Institutions typically sponsor a cohort of faculty for UDL and individual senior leaders for CAEL. We provide institutional invoicing, an MoU template, and group pricing for 10+ seats. Edorer also offers the option to bundle seats into your existing Edorer LMS or assessment contract.
When do the next cohorts start?
India cohorts run quarterly. We confirm the next cohort dates with you when we respond to your application — typically within two working days. If you have a specific FDP cycle or accreditation deadline, mention it on the application form and we’ll work to a fitting cohort.
Is this AICTE / UGC FDP eligible?
The Harvard credential is widely accepted as evidence of faculty professional development for AICTE / UGC records, NAAC Criterion II and III, and NIRF teaching-learning indicators. Specific FDP credit acceptance is at each university’s IQAC discretion — we can support your IQAC documentation on request.
What if a participant cannot complete the program?
The Edorer India cohort is designed to drive completion — weekly clinics, dean-visible progress, and a capstone deadline keep momentum. If a participant is genuinely unable to continue, we work with the institution to transfer the seat to another faculty member in a future cohort, subject to Harvard’s policy.
